As part of the PRIMA Safe-H2O-Farm project, Natalija Bulaš from the Institute for Adriatic Crops and Karst Reclamation (Split, Croatia) participated in the 11th International Congress of Food Technologists, Biotechnologists and Nutritionists, held in Zagreb, Croatia, from December 9 to 11, 2025.
The congress brought together scientists and professionals from academia and industry to exchange knowledge and discuss recent advances in food technology, biotechnology, and nutrition.
Natalija presented her research in the poster section, entitled:
“Inhibition of β-Glucosidase by Different Copper Salts in Model Systems: Insights into Phenolic Compound Formation in Virgin Olive Oil.”
The poster focused on the effects of different copper salts on β-glucosidase activity and their potential implications for phenolic compound formation and quality of virgin olive oil, contributing to the broader goals of the Safe-H2O-Farm project related to sustainable plant protection strategies and food quality.
